School Login Details
Your child will be expected to undertake a number of computer-based activities that will involve accessing either:
- Firefly
- School email
- Google Drive
- MS Teams
Firefly is the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) provided by the school to set tasks, provide specific resources and subject content, and is the main method of communication between the school and students. All documentation relevant to students’ school life can be found here. Firefly is available from home via the internet: https://ctk.fireflycloud.net
School email is accessible from Firefly and the school website or here
All of the above require the same USERNAME and PASSWORD to access. To avoid students losing or forgetting their details, we do ask students to write down their details inside their planner. However, the following is the format that is used for those listed above:
Username: Intake year (2 digits) > Surname > First initial
- Joe Bloggs starting Year 7 in 2018, the Username is: 18BloggsJ
Email address: Username@ctk.lancs.sch.uk
- For username = 18BloggsJ, email is 18BloggsJ@ctk.lancs.sch.uk
Passwords are allocated to students when they start school. To ensure the password is not forgotten, we do recommend that students write this into their planner, and use the same password for sites where personal passwords can be chosen
